The PGA Tour makes its fourth of five stops in Texas this week for the 50th anniversary of the AT&T Byron Nelson, which will be held at a new host site in 2018, Trinity Forest Golf Club in Dallas. This comes after a 24-year run at the TPC Four Seasons Las Colinas.

While the field this year is strong, the story this week will be the golf course, which promises to be one of, if not the most unique venue on tour. The treeless, links-style design from Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw resembles more of what golf fans see each year at the Open Championship rather than what they see on a week-to-week basis on tour. It should make for a fascinating, and potentially very exciting tournament that normally is not one of the must-watch weeks on the schedule.

Five of the top 30 players in the world will tee it up this week, including Dallas native Jordan Spieth, who first played in the event as a 16-year-old in 2010 after writing a convincing letter to tournament officials. Since finishing T-16 that season, the three-time major champion has made six other appearances in the event, finishing no higher than T-18. This week he'll have a distinct home-course advantage though, as he is a member at Trinity Forest.TV Schedule

The Golf Channel will carry live coverage on Thursday and Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. ET and on Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. CBS will take over on the weekend beginning at 3 p.m. DirectTV customers can watch a 4K HDR broadcast of holes 16, 17 and 18 Thursday through Sunday.
